The Cast Bronze Sculpture "The Travellers"

The cast bronze statue Travellers is a commissioned artwork for the artist; it consists of 3 figures. They are all depicted gazing into the distance, evoking the sense of someone about to embark on a journey-which is likely why the artist refers to them as "travellers." 

The whole sculpture was started from 3D digital model, and it is first presented as a 3D-printed physical model, used to check on the design and serve the subsequent production stages. Made of Silicon Bronze by the traditional lost-wax method is how this bronze sculpture was achieved. The overall production period is about 60 days, and the surface finish with customized patination as requested.

Bronze sculptures often feature surfaces enhanced by various patina effects; this is partly due to the inherent properties of the material, and partly because patination techniques further accentuate the sense of history embodied by the bronze, which is precisely why the medium is so beloved by many artists.
