Inspired by the local flower--spider orchid, the architect designed a three-petal structure. As the tower rises, this Y-shaped structure forming a stable structure with a large lower and a smaller top, which can prevent the wind from forming a vortex on the surface of the tower.

The Burj Khalifa is world-famous not only for the height and shape, but also for its lighting. The local desert and high humidity climate, as well as architectural features are fully taken into account. The narrow, vertical light is irradiated from the top of the tower wing of the building. With the height of the tower, the lights climb step by step, as if stepping into the sky at night and to ensure that the minimal light intrusion to the residents, reduces the light pollution to the environment.
