Here is a special artwork when visitors of the Grand Rapids Public Museum may have noticed it. This 2.4m long painted stainless steel sculpture with a mirror polished base and story board named Red Glasses, is designed by artist Sam Noordhoff for ArtPrize 2021, which is inspired by a 5-year-old from Grand Rapids who passed away in 2018. Her legacy started the "Red Glasses Movement", and the mission of the movement is to put a pair of Red Glasses on every face in the world so that everyone can see through Audrey's eyes. Simply put it is to inspire the world to live boldly, love big, and pass it on.
